'Quality work for a reasonable rate delivered by someone who cares' Since I started my own business 12 years ago things have changed quite dramatically. With a battered old '486 and nothing more than the determination to 'make a go of it' - I now work in partnership with my husband, Paul Daniels (DanielsIT) and provide my clients a full efficient suite of services from book keeping, e-commerce and computer technical support. It has been a wonderful journey, with many interesting clients and situations, and most of all an exciting road to continue to travel. I put a lot of my success down to some basic ideals. The foremost one is that 'I care'. It is important to me that my clients don't just get good service, they should get the information and help that is right for them. I want my clients to be successful, not just survive. So just what can my consultancy do to achieve this? As is fairly obvious from the list above I offer several types of services to my clients. The interesting one at the moment is Book-keeping. Due to the Business Activity Statement courtesy of the GST a lot of businesses have been reassessing their book keeping strategies and have included my consultancy in the equation. Its not all expense either - the astute business person has quickly realised that programs like MYOB allow them not only to meet taxation requirements, but also allow them to see how their business is going at any given point in time.I have found in around 75% of cases todate this has enabled management to make better and more informed decisions leading to significantly higher profits. The advantage I have over many other book keepers is that I am a qualified accountant AND an expert in MYOB, such that I am not only good at the job, I'm one of the best, I'm not only quick at the job, I'm one of the fastest.I strive to give the best service, rather than the best price. This often means that I end up training myself out of a job. After all who is better to run a client's business, than the client themselves! Additional to the above, I am able to provide reasonably priced book keeping services from just $77.00 an hour. Another area of interest is that of human resources. I have been quite lucky in that I spent 18 months being mentored by Phil Lye, one of Australia's fore-most experts in Human Resource management. Should you have issues in dealing with staff - being the hiring, firing or general discipline I have some cost effective methods that enable you to focus on the job being done, not the staff member doing it! |
